The National Jazz Festival is a New Zealand treasure. As one of the oldest Jazz Festivals in the world we are delighted to present, for the 53rd time, a vibrant long weekend of the hottest talent from near and far.

The Tauranga Jazz Society is behind the annual festival, which has brought the city of Tauranga to life and entertained hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors to the Bay of Plenty every Easter weekend for more than half a century.

We launch our 2015 festival with a red carpet opening night at Baycourt with the first of a spectacular Concert Series. This crowns our popular community events: the Downtown Tauranga Carnival, The Jazz Village (which is our very own New Orleans French Quarter!) and the National Youth Jazz Competition and the mass of talented youth who are the future of New Zealand jazz, a must-see event.
