Te Motutapu-o-Tinirau is a whanau dance performance devised by Louise Potiki-Bryant (2014 Caroline Plummer Dance Fellow, Otago University) in collaboration with Rua McCallum. The performance is inspired by the story of Tinirau and Kae, which first features the whare tapere - traditional pre-European houses of story telling, dance, music and games. Te Motutapu-o-Tinirau is an hour long performance by 20 whanau - both adults and children - from Otepoti.
