A not to be missed exhibition in the heart of the Bay of Islands, with over 40 Tai Tokerau artists present a bicultural conversation around Te Tiriti o Waitangi - the Treaty of Waitangi. The exhibition is an invitation to the public to come learn and engage with the Treaty and our relationships with each other. After 175 years are we talking past each other? What is the role of the Treaty moving forward? How do we connect to each other? How do we connect to Te Tiriti, the Treaty? Artists, both Maori and non-Maori, bring their personal perspective, their stories and their creativity to the document that was the birthplace of our nation. Runs late Jan to Easter 2015.
