This Matariki (Māori New Year), take time to contemplate and explore taha wāhine – the female aspects of life – in this space for poetry, kōrero (discussion), dance, and drama.

Te Wā a Hine is an interactive space created according to tikanga pōhiri – the principles of engagement. It allows for wānanga (contemplation, learning, and sharing) about taha wāhine – our bodies, minds, spirits, strengths, challenges, and triumphs. We explore our relationships with each other, our loved ones, our communities, future and past generations, our whenua (land), and our moana (seas and lakes).

Join Tina Ngata, Teina Moetara, and Ngapaki Moetara for this inclusive, intergenerational session. Everyone is welcome

This event will be held at Ngā Toi | Arts Te Papa, Level 5, Museum of Te Papa Tongarewa.
