The Phoenix Foundation come with an international reputation and a collection of some of NZ's best loved albums to their name from 'Horse Power' to 2014's 'Fandango'. The band will bring their infectiously catchy and progressively psychedelic sounds to Titirangi for the first time. They will be joined by art-house popsters 'Doprah'- with their blend of electronica and trip-hop and local Indie new comers Dukebox.

Since its humble beginnings in 2005 the Titirangi festival of Music has come a long way, building a reputation for well-produced and entertaining shows, both free and ticketed.
This year’s festival marks the 10th anniversary of an event well established now, in the Auckland arts calendar.

The 2015 event boasts the participation of some of West Auckland’s and New Zealand’s finest musicians. Artists such as ‘The Phoenix Foundation’ bring an international reputation and will visit us for the first time. Other new visitors include award winning Country star ‘Tami Neilson’ and global tourists ‘Moana and the Tribe’ and ‘Beyond Ensemble’.

Also, in a first for TFM we’ve teamed up with the ‘Waiheke Jazz festival’ to bring from Europe the wonderful Swedish Sax player ‘Nicole Johanngten’.

Expect also a big emphasis on family-friendly free music in such events such as our traditional ‘Village Day’, with local musicians, an art-workshop trail, marching bands and street performers.

All this together with Jazz virtuoso Nathan Haines returning to perform his ‘acid-jazz’ set, the tenth anniversary festival is looking hard to beat for entertainment. TFM 2015 will be spectacular and a real celebration of the journey that this community event has taken.

Keep an eye on the website www.titirangifestival.co.nz and facebook page for updates on performers and earlybird ticket offers.
