“We need no Noah to know the floods are coming. There is no divine intervention required, the angels are silent yet the prophecy is happening. As blue ice transforms to surging mud we are told this is our chance to diversify. The ice breaker cuts through ten thousand years leaving new routes to nowhere. As the waters rise we toast progress with this new saline to intensify our madness. We need no Noah, we all need to shout. There is no ark. This is our rain dance.”

The All Seeing Hand are embarking on their annual traverse of Aotearoa New Zealand in July with compañeros Lady Lazer Light and Seth Frightening. With seven dates in the South Island and four in the North this is their most extensive tour of this country yet.

The band are known for their immersive ritual performances, but this is the first time audiences outside of Wellington will experience the transformative visual universe of Lady Lazer Light. With the combined force of sound, light, chaos and order, alchemy waits.

The musical world of The All Seeing Hand touches many soundscapes while being complete in its own language. It is a gateway, opening ears to the sonic environment we cohabit with machine and emotion. The band is a three piece comprised of turntables, drums and throat.

Alphabethead is known around New Zealand from his many festival and club performances. An innovative turntablist and producer who constantly surprises his acolytes with new directions and techniques. His bass heavy approach in The All Seeing Hand makes for a full body response to the music.

Ben Knight is a pulverising drummer with rhythmic dexterity steeped in relentless energy. Ben pushes himself to the verge of vomiting in his commitment to the beat.

Jonny Marks uses his voice as a vehicle to explore timbre and the parts of our brains that language does not inhabit. He incorporates techniques of Mongolian throat-singing with voice box stretching explorations to create an animal human other.

Lady Lazer Light transforms spaces and performances into all-encompassing multimedia rituals. Her world-creation involves set, costume and performance design. Her living mixture of video clips has a powerful sense of narrative, delving into pop culture, fantasy and psychedelia creating collages of obscure found images and original content.

For the tour The All Seeing Hand are also joined by Seth Frightening. Seth Frightening is a Wellington native, singing blood yodels with contagious sincerity and a taste for the macabre. Both band and bard, Frightening weaves stories of clouded characters; their actions and reactions reading like a diary account of a car crash, as seen by all parties - a regretful drunk; an infant victim; a curious rubbernecker.

Seth will be playing material from his latest album ‘But We Love Our Brothers And Sisters’; released locally on his own Wellington based label, Sonorous Circle. Seth says of his new album: "It is a deathly ode to the failings of love, the reality of being nothing and alone forever dead in space."
