An important session with two WWI experts

The centenary of World War 1 offers a chance to learn more about the facts and fictions of Gallipoli and the Western Front. Tauranga-born historian Dr Damien Fenton co-authored The Anzacs (2015) which followed his seminal New Zealand and the First World War (2013).

He is working on a book about the Ottoman Empire. Harry Ricketts has become an expert on war poets, (mostly) men who made a distinctive contribution to the literature of the early 20th century. He has written Strange Meetings about WW1 poets (2012) and co-edited How We Remember: New Zealanders and WW1 (2014).

*TECT Earlybird offer ends 7 October
Day Passes - Entry to all writers sessions on day purchased
