Same place, same time, same great programme:

The New Zealand Ukulele Festival is the happiest day on Auckland's event calendar! Celebrating the world's friendliest instrument, this year's stellar line up includes international ukulele virtuoso JAMES HILL, New Zealand's best loved ukulele trio The Nukes; Will Crummer and the Rarotongans and Pasifika roots band 2 Pouz Fynist. This unique Auckland festival showcases the world famous, joy generating Kiwileles - NZ's epic ukulele orchestra of over 2.500 singing and strumming children. The Kiwileles never fail to enchant the crowd with their unique interpretation of hits from the likes of Six 60, Stan Walker and Babysitter's Circus along with other great tunes. Workshops run all day, giving the public the chance to have a go at learning this easy instrument or to up-skill. With trade and food stalls, a grand parade, entertainment for the under fives, balloons and face-painting, a uke-art competition and M C Jackie Clarke, there is something for everyone at the New Zealand Ukulele Festival. Enjoy a picnic, dance on the grass, join in the singing or just come along to soak up the happy vibe. Family friendly and Free. Smiles guaranteed or your money back! Plenty of parking. Check the festival website for location details, programme updates and festival news.
