Called "The cult film of the century" and "The Citizen Kane of bad movies", The Room has been slaying Kiwi audiences for four years, and are invited to "laugh, cry, and express themselves" (in the words of the Auteur and Star) - Tommy Wiseau.

If you haven't experienced this phenomenon of the filmmaker's art, then now is the time to join the world-wide cult of "Roomies".

Throwing plastic spoons in the air and hurling comments at the screen are all part of the audience involvement in The Room.

Experience this special single screening on glorious 35mm Film at the incredible Crystal Palace Theatre in Mt. Eden, Auckland. The bar is under refurbishment so why not meet for drinks in Mt. Eden Village before the show.

The Crystal Place is just 5 mins from the CBD and easy to get to. There's a bus stop right outside running every 15mins on the Outer Link until 11pm. Check out the map and bus links on this page. Get your tickets now through Eventfinda.

No matter what you’ve already heard, nothing can prepare you for the once-in-a-lifetime big-screen experience of seeing actor/director/producer Wiseau mumbling his way through this excruciating love triangle about a kind-hearted banker, his best friend and his cheating bride-to-be. It has many unforgettable scenes, but keep your eyes peeled for pictures of spoons, close football tossing, characters vanishing and emerging and even one that announces ‘I definitely have breast cancer’ as a throwaway conversation starter. Unmissable.

Remember, The Room screens every first Friday of each month in Wellington and Dunedin.
Rated M - contains sex scenes and offensive language
