The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain
30 Plucking Years

Seven Ukuleles, Fourteen Hands, Twenty Eight Strings, Sixteen Million Minutes, One Billion Seconds, Thirty Years…

The all-singing, all-strumming, original ukulele orchestra returns to New Zealand to celebrate ’30 Plucking Years’.

Join them as they clock up one billion seconds of ukulele action, playing to sold out houses around the world with happy, stomping, laughing audiences.

Known as the original ukulele orchestra, they transform iconic songs and turn them into ukulele masterpieces. No artist is ‘safe’; David Bowie, Nirvana, Kate Bush or Beethoven – they’ve all had the ‘Ukes’ treatment. And they ‘re not only expert musicians, but they sing, inject comedy, whistle … and much more…

“Iconoclastic” – Sunday Times (London)
“First rate musicality and comic timing” – New York Times

From the North Pole, across Europe and in Australia and New Zealand, audiences have loved the good humour and fun of ‘the Ukes’. They’ve guested on the Madness album, performed with Robbie Williams and Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) and played sold out shows for The BBC Proms at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Don’t miss The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain on their return tour to New Zealand in November 2015 – playing all the favourites, plus new songs including Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’, Pharrell Williams’ ‘Happy’, Amy Winehouse, Patti Smith and Lady Gaga.
