Although the United Nations has contributed significantly to international cooperation since its formation, it has also demonstrated weaknesses and ineffectiveness in some areas – notably in conflict resolution and peace-keeping. This session will survey the current UN reform agenda, as set out in such documents as In Larger Freedom (2005).
