Thousands of Auckland families are due to attend Trillian Trust Funfest 2015, the largest free family themed event of its kind in the Pacific.

The Trillian Trust Funfest 2015 will be held on January 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th from 9am – 5pm at Alexandra Park in Auckland.

The family themed event is now in its 12th year and features Free Entry, Free Parking, Free Rides and Free Stage Prizes.

Trillian Trust Funfest is popular with families of all nationalities and attracts an audience of 30- 40,000 people from across the city over 4 days.

Trillian Trust Funfest marketing manager Doug Te Moni is in no doubt as to why Funfest is growing in popularity.
“The increasing cost of living, housing crisis and fewer jobs mean families have less to spend on quality family activities so we’re seeing more families each year who are planning Funfest into their summer calendar”, he says.

“Times are tough, families just don’t have money to put into quality whanau activity together and Funfest is now seen by thousands of families as a critical tool to support the development and well-being of their families”.

“I’ve seen entire generations of families who plan an annual family reunion at Funfest... it’s amazing and very humbling."

Trillian Trust Funfest is also creating opportunities for a range of community services to connect with more families.

A range of exhibitors from health and social services to government and education will be promoting services which help support family development.

“We’ve got Best Training on-site for 3 days and they’ll be helping people plan their educational pathway”, Doug says. “The Milo promo team are also on-site promoting the importance playing together as a family”.
