Auckland chamber choir Viva Voce celebrates 30 years of inspired choral music-making by looking at the very idea of what it is to be inspired… and inspiring.

To do this, they bring together a programme of works that have not only inspired members of the choir and/or conductor (and founder) John Rosser, but also some of their loyal audience. The result is a concert comprising many of the pearls of choral music, with occasional accompaniment from piano and string quartet.

Sit back and be inspired by the wonderful music of Monteverdi, Palestrina, Janequin, Britten, Fauré, Barber, Pearsall, Rheinberger and Lauridsen, as well as one or two lighter numbers.

Viva Voce also marks the occasion by premièring a work from distinguished composer and long-time colleague David Hamilton, who himself celebrates a significant anniversary this year. Birthday surprises all round!
