Vibrant voices will fill the air at dawn this official Pride Festival Waitangi day opening as the Aroha Project remembers those past and present. Your hosts the Mika Haka Foundation and Edinburgh Festival stars Taki Māori once again support the opening with karanga and performance, Te Amo and Whero West songs will soar into the skies and Haka will tremble in the sands waking the nation to our special day. Kick and yoga on the beach post formal ceremonies.

The Aroha Project 2015 is the project where artists smash ‘hate’ and celebrate ‘difference’ in a program that tackles bullying and suicide issues. Powerful social change projects with emerging heroes of Aroha.

The Aroha Project is for all people Str8, Queer and Other, brown, yellow, white, pink, average to exceptional; all freaks of diversity are invited. The Aroha Project is a web-series, art-pop music releases; a film festival, free kids holiday activities, burlesque yoga and Fringe Festival hit shows from Edinburgh. Showing Auckland-wide February 6-28.
