A free Waitangi family festival celebration with an emphasis on unity with a multi cultural mix of all peoples, starting with a welcoming ceremony at the Riverside in Clive at 9am by our Mayors, Councillors, M.P.s, Te Aute College students and invited guests.

A pageant on the river re-enacting the arrival of the first European settlers, featuring the Hawkes Bay Genealogists and Westshore Sea Scouts escorted by the Nga Tukemata O Kahungunu Waka which will be followed by free rides on the river all day.

Entertainment by our local artists on stage begins at 11am plus competitions and games. We have a range of stalls selling a vast array of hot or cold local food and beverages, clothing, artwork, free rides all day on The Mini cars, Merry go rounds, Bouncy Castles, Trains, Water slides etc..

Prizes for the Sun Smart wearer of the best hat and for the family wearing their hats, sun screen lotion provided free all day courtesy of Hawkes Bay Cancer Society.

Bring your deck chairs and come along for a relaxing day and watch the amazing local talent we have here.
