Bring your family and friends to Wings Over Wairarapa in January 2015 and truly ‘experience 100 years of Aviation’.
Wings Over Wairarapa is renowned for an outstanding, professional flying programme and family-friendly atmosphere. The show rivals any other for display content and reputation, and is now a significant event on the Australasian aviation events calendar.
Held over Wellington Anniversary Weekend for 3 days from the 16th to the 18th January 2015 you’ll have the opportunity to get up close and personal with historical crowd favourites like the WWI and WWII planes, contemporary aircraft and the future of aviation. The aerobatic displays and on the ground entertainment is continuous and there really is something for everyone.
Wings Over Wairarapa is New Zealand’s second largest air show and 2015 is our 9th event. As well as over 70 aircraft, including some of the rarest in the world, there is exciting on the ground entertainment. From static displays of vintage cards to military vehicles and of course aircraft. There’s a large market and trade area and the chance to sample our wonderful local Wairarapa food and wine. With a large children’s area on hand it’s the perfect place for a summer’s day out.
Parking is free for ticket holders and we’ll have transport to and from the car park for those who need it. Look out for specially marked transfer stops.
Whether it’s a family day out or an exclusive adult air show experience you are looking for, we have a range of ticket options to suit your needs and your budget.
Buy a family ticket where your children go free, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the entertainment. Or go all out and purchase a Gold Pass to our Gold Pass Lounge where you’ll receive a beautifully catered lunch, a programme, a 2015 cap, a seat on the flight line and access to the Grandstand with the best view in the house. We also have options available for corporate entertaining. Please contact Corporate@wings.org.nz for further information.
A strictly limited number of Gold Passes are available on each day of the event and must be purchased in advance.
Gates open at 8am on all days of the Air Show. Saturday and Sunday are full Air Show display days where the action begins at about 10.30am and runs through to 4.30pm. Friday will also be an exciting but less “planned” day where you’ll be able to see lots of the crowd favourites coming in to land.
