Success, Failure, Determination, Resilience, Attitude and Humour - all strong words that relate very aptly to Hon Louise Upston.

Louise Upston is the Member of Parliament for Taupo, a seat she has held since the General Election of 2008. In 2014 Louise was appointed Minister of Land Information and Minister for Women, and was given responsibilities as Associate Minister of Local Government, and Associate Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment.

Louise’s success has been achieved through her resilience and her ability to overcome challenges by finding a way over them, through them, round them or under them.
Louise loves the quote by Marianne Williamson "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure".

In a speech the Minister made on 26th March Louise stated: “Tonight I am challenging everyone to think about those with potential that is waiting to be unlocked. Think of the women who have the skills, talent and drive to get to the top, and the women who can inspire others along the way.

Come and join us for the next Women’s Inspiration evening to hear from the very engaging and entertaining Louise Upston, without politics, on a very personal level.
