X is where you are

Why are we where we are? Why this particular place? Why now?
X can be an algebraic term used to represent unknowns or other circumstances.
X rays were so called because the discoverer was not sure what they were.
X can represent a kiss or in Christian times a cross was drawn to indicate sincerity or honesty.
X can mean that a person has found the exact spot or location.
Or of course ..... it can lead you to the hidden treasure.

This body of work is about places, journeys and finding somewhere that is yours. The X represents a place in time, a location and maybe, just maybe, a reason for you to have chosen why you are where you are. In both acrylic and oils the pieces combine gestural brushworks with pockets of realism which allude to large spaces in time.
