After their recent crowd-sourced equity fund raising through PledgeMe Yeastie Boys are riding high on a wave of great publicity and an ever expanding beer range.

The money raised from the PledgeMe campaign has enabled them to re-brand their core line-up and their Head Boy, Stu McKinlay, has headed over to the UK to help them embark on their European expansion.

Even though they are clearly very busy boys they’ve had time to create a new beer, or a remix of two of their most popular beers, named Dark Matta. It’s a Tea-leaf Black IPA, seen as a brewed cross-over of Gunnamatta and Pot Kettle Black, and is there 2015 Remix of PKB.

They’ll be launching this new and exciting beer at 16 Tun on Friday 31st July from 5pm and to extend their presence at the Tun we’ll also be pouring Pot Kettle Black and Gunnamatta – so you can try the different combinations.

About the Yeastie Boys

The Yeastie Boys – Stu McKinlay and Sam Possenniskie – are the dynamic duo of New Zealand’s craft beer scene. They burst onto the beer landscape with two trophies for their flagship porter Pot Kettle Black at BrewNZ 2009 and have remained firmly ensconced there ever since. Their latest achievements include a trifecta of major international awards in the last year including:

Champion Beer at The Asia Beer Awards (for Pot Kettle Black)
People’s Choice at The Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular (for Gunnamatta)
Morton Coutts Trophy for Innovation at the Brewers Guild of New Zealand Awards (for Rex Attitude)
