Nik Kennedy, Chief Innovation Officer, PWC: "Tech Futures Lab is a must-attend for business leaders to identify and navigate technologies that are changing how we work, live and interact with each other. The course proved that the future is looking bright for innovators, entrepreneurs and risk takers, as the technology landscape shifts, opportunities are immense and broad. Smart leaders should be preparing for the imminent change. Tech Futures Lab provides a thought-provoking and inclusive environment for insight and discussion to help with that journey."

Our one-day workshops are for cross-sector professionals, to help them navigate the new world. This workshop explores and analyses the impact and speed of change and the impact driven by new innovations and emerging technologies, forging uncommon connections between technologies as the convergence of computer processing, cloud storage, the sharing economy and specific technological advances redefine business, the economy and the future.

Workshops are delivered by Frances Valintine, an Education Futurist and the founder of Tech Futures Lab and The Mind Lab by Unitec. She has been an educator for over 20 years. Over the past 3 years, her organisations have taught over 100,000 school students, 2000 teachers and worked with 250 New Zealand organisations.

In 2016 Frances was recognised as one of the Top 50 EdTech Educators in the world by EdTech International in the UK. She was also awarded a Sir Peter Blake Award as a Blake Leader. In 2015 Frances was the Westpac New Zealand Woman of Influence (Innovation) and the Next New Zealand Woman of the Year (Education). She holds a Master of Education Management from the University of Melbourne.
