On Thursday 7 April 2016 at 6pm Friends of Rotorua Museum are hosting celebrity chef Richard Till for a special evening at Rotorua Museum.
Richard will create some tasty treats on the mezzanine and guests will enjoy a glass of wine while listening to him talk about his career. Following this Till will give a personal tour through the Every Tea Towel Tells a Story exhibition pointing out his favourites and the unique stories behind them.

It was while filming his TV show Kiwi Kitchen that Till’s passion for tea towels developed. He remembers “during filming I would always use an old kiwiana tea towel. Suddenly it seemed like a good idea to have a different one each week and make a feature out of it.” Today Till has nearly 300 tea towels in his collection, most are vintage and reflect a part of New Zealand social history.

Tickets for this unique event are on sale at Rotorua Museum reception from 21 March 2016. $10 Friends members, $15 non-members. Seats are limited so get in quick.
