Grab a ticket to this intimate concert with a beloved Australian singer-songwriter and activist: the legendary Archie Roach, one of the leading artists in the show dirtsong, also part of the 2016 New Zealand Festival. Roach is a truly gifted and inspiring talent. Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Patti Smith are just some of the musicians he has performed with.

Taken from his family at a young age as one of the ‘stolen generations’, and a former homeless alcoholic, he recorded his first album, Charcoal Lane, in 1990 with fellow dirtsong artist Paul Kelly as co-producer. The album – a landmark release, winner of multiple awards and featuring the song Took the Children Away – is now available in a special 25th anniversary edition.

New Zealand Festival On The Road Partnered by NZ Community Trust.
