E nga iwi, e nga mana, kake ake i nga ara piki ki te papa tuatoru ki te tautoko te kaupapa korero purakau o Baggage at Bats. Ko te whakaari A Kete of Cooked Kumara he korero mo nga ra o mua ki Aotearoa, ko Three Wise Blackmen he korero mai i te ao whanui. No reira nau mai haere mai.

African American actor and storyteller Tony Hopkins pays homage to the three men who helped shape his philosophy of life: his father Ervin Hopkins, a street hustler called Sophisticated Player and Ken Dixson, the friend who introduced him to theatre.

In 1996 Baggage Co-op produced its first show at BATS for the Wellington Fringe Festival. 20 years later with 25 shows to its credit, Baggage climbs the stairs to what was once the domain of the The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes to present Three Wise Black Men featuring Tony Hopkins and A Kete of Cooked Kumara featuring Ralph Johnson. Tony and Ralph have a long history of storytelling both nationally and internationally, including the show Te Haerenga, a journey of identity which the co-op toured to England in 2012.
