Join us for the Japanese Film Evenings for 2016!

Japanese films shown at the University of Waikato are usually screened on the second or third Thursday of the month from 19:00pm and are preceded by a documentary about Japanese culture from 18:45pm.

All films have English subtitles.
Admission is free and booking is not necessary.

Director Yamazaki blasts the past with stunning CGI
Of the numerous feature films in the Crayon Shin-chan anime series, Crayon Shinchan Bravo Samurai was particularly well received and honored with many prestigious awards.

The world of this anime masterpiece has been reworked here as a live-action, romantic period piece. A timid boy time slips into the medieval era of the Warring States, where he observes the love between a lowly samurai and the princess of a small feudal domain.
