The study of the mind is essential for understanding the causes of happiness, suffering, reality and the nature of the the self. Unlock the pieces that build our moment to moment experiences in order to gain control over the habits of and influences on the mind. Discover the relationship between you, what you’re thinking, where you’re thinking it and why by focusing on “Lo Rig” or “Minds and Mental Factors” – in the Tibetan monasteries it is considered a fundamental topic for expanding and deepening one’s meditation practice. Classed in the category of “Mind Science” this topic relies on sound logic, clear distinctions and profound philosophy all at once. Join us for a rare opportunity to jump in the deep end and step up your understanding of Buddhist Philosophy.

Pre-requisite: A basic understanding of Buddhism (ideally the lamrim) is necessary since this is an intermediate course.

Pre-registration required. Course and meals $160; plus accommodation. Begins with dinner at 6:00pm on Friday the 22nd, through 4:00pm on Sunday the 24th (accommodations can be made for anyone traveling by ferry).
