It takes a community to raise a family..... The Building Star Communities Expo is the only South Auckland based lifestyle event tailored specifically to cater for the needs and wants of community groups in an around the greater Auckland region. The Expo features dynamic people that can discuss your community needs and offer services, skills and latest products. This expo is a one-stop shop for not only people seeking advice, but also for general public to find and build networks that support their local area. It's a great opportunity to enjoy a fun, friendly and interactive experience by joining in on workshops and mini talks around how to build a community, group support, networking, insights and experiences.

The growth of the super city has allowed some smaller communities to feel isolated and out of reach of services that they need, but are located in city locations. So this expo will allow you to come and access new organisations, volunteer groups, service groups, equipment and products that are helpful and useful. Come along to find the links to people you need to attract them back into your areas.

Helpful EXPO features include:

- Easy find 'community' grouping in the planned layout
- Volunteer groups from your community so you can connect with new hobbies, interests classes and social events.
- Seminars where brave facilitators say it like it is. Inspiring, challenging and changing attitudes about subjects that matter in our communities.
- PET's - Portal Educational Talks which are small snippets of wisdom from community figures, tutors and clients who have gems of wisdom to share
- Competitions - you will have to be there to be in with a chance.
- Prizes to be won.
