Veronica Herber is an Auckland based artist who has built a significant art career-centered around her installations using Japanese Washi tape which resembles utilitarian masking tape. After graduating from the Auckland University of Technology in 2012, Herber quickly developed an international profile making outdoor sculptural works using her signature material.

For Tauranga Art Gallery Herber has produced a site-specific installation for the atrium. Using the walls, floors and stairs, she has traced a gridlike pathway that leads you around the gallery.

As part of the installation, Veronica has produced a collection of tablets inspired by vignettes she came across on the streets of Havana, Cuba.

Veronica has recently participated in major shows and installations in Australia, Cuba and Mexico.

This exhibition has been generously supported by Tapespec, Bluesky Trust, and OfficeMax.
