Drive by the city tulip gardens over to Daltons in Matamata. Once there, a guide will join the bus to lead a guided tour of the state-of-art Daltons plant.

See the robots in action, learn all about potting mixes and soil, soak up information thanks to shared gardening and landscaping tips. The bus will then travel to the Daltons Plantation and Homestead Gardens where lunch (a quiche, salad and hot drink) will be served. Judith Dalton will be available to conduct a guided tour of the gardens. There is also the option of a self-guided ramble - with a booklet to assist. There are 12 garden areas to explore and these were designed in partnership with Xanthe White. Get ready to be inspired by areas including the following: courtyard garden, maze, amphitheatre, Japanese garden, spring garden, kauri grove, potager garden, bulb garden (yes, there will be tulips), herb plots and Chelsea-styled garden.

Cost includes bus trip, tour guide, lunch, garden entry and garden tour booklet. Bookings will be essential as numbers are limited.
