Sorry about the short notice on this one. However when Dave Dobbyn's management come to you asking to start his nationwide tour in Raglan I wasn't going to turn it down.

Next Wednesday at The Yot Club . One of New Zealands greatest and most iconic musicians Dave Dobbyn will be playing the Yotty with his band.

Daves career started in the late 70s as guitarist /songwriter with The Dudes . New Zealands answer to the Rolling Stones They cut a blazing path through New Zealand with a string of hits including Walking in Light , Right First Time , Be Mine Tonight and Bliss.

Than like a comet they were gone. Dave soon emerged again with DD Smash singing and playing guitar on such hits as , Whaling , The Devil you Know , Outlook for Thursday ,and Magic What She Do . Having conquered Australia with DD Smash , Dave did it again with Herbs and their title song to the movie Slice of Heaven and the plaintive hit Should You Want To Be Love.

Dave stayed in Australia till the early 90s , returning to live in New Zealand and release a series of critically acclaimed albums Loyal , Lament for the Numb , Twist ,The Islander and Available Light . Songs which have entered the national psyche as musical landmarks include the alternative Kiwis anthem s Loyal and Welcome Home.

Dave has recently released a new album . Harmony House and this is the tour to promote it . This album is getting great reviews , so expect a huge show from Dave and his killer band showcasing Daves entire career.

Dave Dobbyn and band will be playing this Wednesday at the Yot club. Support from jesse sheeren. Presales on line and at the venue. Because of our limited hours and the close proximity of the gig anyone that thinks they may miss out should text me up on 021409268.
