Form Gallery would like to invite you to join us in welcoming our latest exhibition; 'Different Thoughts', a solo show featuring the work of Waikanae-based artist Graeme Hitchcock. This Exhibition will open on Wednesday the 2nd of November, from 5.30pm onwards. The artist will be in attendance on the night, to answer any and all of your questions.

Through the utilisation of various methods of painting and glass sculpture, the work of this exhibition endeavours to take you on a journey. Following hot on the trail of Graeme's recent travels to Jerusalem, an experience which he defines as 'truly exhilarating', this exhibition aims to encourage viewer contemplation and provoke further thought surrounding the pieces intent or underlying message. The smallest details and slightest changes, indicative of the ever-evolving narrative, present in all Hitchcock's work.

A place defined by diversity, with religion at its very core, Hitchcock cites the many facets of Jerusalem as promoting an increased state of happiness and mindfulness, encouraging the artist himself to live in the moment. It is these principles or ideals which Hitchcock hopes to embody within and promote through his works. Many of his glass works seeming to somewhat ‘independently emerge', requiring little to no reworking, following their initial conception and the required rigorous and fiery processes.

If you are unable to attend the opening, do not fear, this exhibition will run for approximately three weeks. We look forward to seeing you there.
