Artist Drisana Tonga is of Tongan and Maori descent, and a recent graduate from Unitec who is currently at Teachers’ College.

Her works show an intense interest in ‘line’, and express the connectedness of her personal worlds and the ways in which, through each brush stroke, an idea or way of thinking from one cultural tradition can instantly transition into another. (Heliaki is a Tongan word meaning ‘to say one thing and mean another’.)

The exhibition will open at 4 pm on Sunday 17 July, then run daily until 3 August.
