Does your organisation work with complex social problems which need collaboration with multiple layers of stakeholders? Do many of these stakeholder hold different perspectives and disagreement about the causes and best solutions? In today’s complex environment efficient collaboration and stakeholder engagement is more important than ever to achieve significant social change. Many of the key social problems we are facing are beyond the capacity of any one organisation or sector to respond to effectively. This workshop will help you to gain the pivotal skills and confidence needed in building cross-sector engagement and consensus to solve these ‘wicked problems’.

This Engage for Impact workshop is focused on community and stakeholder engagement in the context of complex social problems. Working with others can be difficult, costly and take more time than working on your own. However, isolated projects tend to struggle with achieving buy-in and often have less of an impact than more collaborative approaches. The success of many organisations and projects is dependent on their ability to bring people together to work on a common goal. This is why a strategic approach to community engagement is needed. There are many ways of working with others and it is important to decide which one is the most appropriate.

This series of one-day workshops with Danielle Annells are focused on building for the future by learning the phases of Collective Impact and becoming aware of various community engagement methodologies, tools and best practices. Danielle Annells is an Associate in Australasia’s leading learning organisation Collaboration for Impact.

She is an expert in collaborative processes and has assisted government and other organisations to transform their stakeholder and community engagement activities. Danielle will deliver this comprehensive, interactive workshop and explain how your organisation can apply the collective impact framework and by doing so, more efficiently collaborate with and engage various stakeholders.

The workshop will help you to:
- Understand community engagement frameworks and best practice principles.
- Become aware of innovative methods for engaging communities and stakeholders.
- Undertake community/stakeholder mapping.
- Gain confidence in using several tools for engaging and collaborating.
- Understand what successful engagement means and how it can be measured.
