Wellington Pub Poets’ Society

The Wellington Pub Poets’ Society is a group of absurdly attractive performers.

Their poetry isn’t half bad either. When they’re not furiously scribbling rhymes over pints, they’re performing their wild, witty, heartfelt assortment of verse.

A night with this quirky lot is sure to entertain and captivate. The members of the WPPS are a bit like those interesting people you meet in bars, only actually attractive.

Saturday 15th October 6.30pm

Cori Gonzalez Macuer

Since becoming a father, he's truly happy for the first time ever, but that doesn't mean he’s stopped disliking a lot of stuff. From NZ ‘Socialites’, to people who post inspirational quotes, to reality TV "stars", there's a lot of annoying people on this Earth. Join him as he dissects the people he desperately hopes his daughter doesn't turn into. Sold out 2016 NZ International Comedy Festival.

"Delivering on his objective to expel yet another memorable show, keep an eye out for future works by the man with exponential potential, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer." - Concrete Playground.

Saturday 15 October - 8.00pm,

Puppet Fiction

The ultimate fan homage to Tarantino's cult classic film Pulp Fiction is coming to the 'Stings for one night only!

3 actors. 17 puppets. One bat shit crazy show

A table top marionette show like no other, full of biting wit, adlibs, social commentary, and a tangled heap of laughs, Puppet Fiction not only honours the greatest cult film of all time, it's kool and the gang through and through. Featuring puppet master Jon Coddington, award winning comedian James Nokise, acclaimed actress Anya Tate-Manning and directed by Hawkes Bay gal Hannah Clarke. It's been round the world and now it's coming to the 'Stings. This is Pulp Fiction with strings attached...

Saturday 15 October - 9.30pm

Fringe After Party

If there is one thing we know how to do at the Fringe in the 'Stings it's party!

Join us for a late night mash-up of live music, dancing and frivolity... there may even be some surprise performances from our Fringe family of artists.
