Love knows no gender! Escape with us into The Bush, where Gods hang out and love can strike unexpectedly.

Galathea: Into The Bush is a modern adaptation of Galathea by John Lyly, renowned contemporary of Shakespeare. The original play features a forest inhabited by Gods and a pair of star-crossed lovers - who are, as its happens, both female. Updated with modern language and fresh characters, Galathea: Into the Bush promises to be a rainbow of representation!

Come be part of the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of Homosexual Law Reform! Fun and fantasy awaits you, whether you're gay, straight or everything in between, this is a love story everyone can relate to.

This performance takes place in the Grand Hall of Wellington's treasured Public Trust Building, a beautiful category 1 historic building. This venue was brokered by Urban Dream Brokerage service and made possible by owners Kaye and Maurice Clark. The Grand Hall at the Public Trust Building perfectly reflects the vibrancy of our capital while blending both art and history. Enjoy a renovated play, in a renovated building!

On performance days Twin City will open up the Grand Hall from 1pm - 4pm as a space for the public. A plethora of activities await you, including a cross-dressing photobooth. We provide a brave space that encourages you to play with your ideas of gender and sexuality. Thanks goes to The Wellington City Council for providing funding for this spectacular project.
