Join the Glamaphones for their upcoming All Souls concert on Saturday, 29 October.

This concert draws from the rich history of choral music written to remember those who have passed away. We all have people dear to us in our hearts and All Souls is about remembering and commemorating them.

This concert is the fourth that Rachel Hyde, the choir's musical director, has led and it is by far the most ambitious. The music itself is glorious and the Glamaphones will deliver it with their trademark gusto. Rachel has selected a programme that ranges from Mozart's Requiem to pieces by 20th century composers John Tavener and Vaughan Williams; and modern classics by Mantyjarvi and Eric Whitacre.

The All Souls concert follows the Glamaphones' milestone performances to mark the 30th anniversary of homosexual law reform in New Zealand, which included a performance at Parliament amidst a lighting and projection display, created by the choir’s Production Designer, Pat McIntosh, using archival material from the Lesbian and Gay Archives of New Zealand (LAGANZ). The concert series also featured a special commission by Gareth Farr.

Tickets for the Glamaphones All Souls concert are available from choir members and Door sales are available unless tickets are sold out beforehand.

Be sure to join us for a beverage and a nibble after the concert, on us!
