The year of 2015 has been a significant one for Wellington artist Graeme James, and to celebrate, he is venturing out to make his musical mark on as many islands as possible. On his twenty date Summer Island Tour he’ll be hitting the North Island, South Island, Stewart Island, Great Barrier Island, Waiheke Island, the ‘West Island’ (Australia) and Tasmania.

After making his name performing quirky versions of well known songs, 2015 has seen Graeme perform his own original music to great acclaim as well as releasing his first original single ‘Alive’ which has achieved radio play and been featured on The Edge TV. In April, he gave an extremely popular TEDx talk, and in October completed his first Australian tour.

Being a loop artist, Graeme James is essentially a one man band. He plays violin, bass, ukulele, guitar, sings and beatboxes. Influenced by a very eclectic range of musical influences, his style isn’t easily pigeon holed. Drawing from a range as broad as Folk, Pop, Country, Celtic, Gypsy Jazz, Blues, and even elements of the recent EDM movement he describes himself as a bit of a musical magpie “I’m very happy to steal the pretty, shiny things from any genre”.

For one night only you're in for a special treat with Graeme being joined by folk songstress Holly Arrowsmith.

Born in the desert city of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Arrowsmith's nostalgic style echoes Americana- Folk legends, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell. Raised in the mountain valleys of New Zealand, it's no wonder her songs capture a reverence for nature.

At just 21 years old, Holly has showcased The New Zealand Country Music Awards, and performed at New Zealand's largest festivals Rhythm & Alps, and Rhythm & Vines.

Recorded in a grass roots studio, nestled in the Mountains of Queenstown, New Zealand- Holly Arrowsmith’s debut album ‘For The Weary Traveller ’ was released July 31st to critical acclaim. It has now been selected as a finalist for the NZ Music Awards 'Folk TUI' for the 'Best Folk Album of 2015.'

Tickets $10 online and $15 on the door.
