"A night of personal, funky blues / R 'n B with Wellington maestros The Strait Shooters hosted by local band Grafia, assisted by Stefan Brown, Mike Rigg and Holly McGeorge.

Prof Warwick Murray (the singing professor) is the front man of The Strait Shooters and he will be delivering a mix of Funky and in-your-face blues , soul and R 'n B songs playing guitar, blukelele and harmonica, ably assisted by vocalist/percussionist, Lee van der Schuit, and backed by blues stalwarts Ramblin' Rick Stringer on keys, Aaron "Funky Chief" Nonoa bass, Mark Tom Tom Thomas on drums. They are completing a mini, "band on the rum" tour of places north of the capital.

The Grafia set will include many originals that are currently being recorded for their first album "Ultimately Free" due for release at the end of February. Stefan Brown will add lead guitar and backing vocals as well as sing several of his originals and well worked covers. Holly McGeorge and her drummer mate, Jordan Tredray will play a set of her songs some of which she usually performs with her band Circa.

Mike Rigg, our much loved local singer songwriter, lead guitarist of Mr Groove and previously Deaf Lemon, will play with Stefan Brown backed by Grafia in the last set.

The order of playing: Holly and Jordan will kick things off followed by Grafia with Mike and Stefan sitting in, so be there before 8.00pm to catch all of the show. The bar with be open from 7.00pm with tasty tapas and pizzas and a thoughtful range of beverages. It'll be a good time to get together with friends again after all the hype of the previous Friday which you might remember was the beginning to 2016!

Happy New Year.
