"Great War Stories" is a series of short (3-4 minute) films telling personal stories about New Zealanders affected by Gallipoli and the First World War. Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision will screen the whole of series three (which airs on TV3 from 18 - 24th of April), as well as a selection of stories from series one and two. The director, Anna Cottrell, will be in attendance to introduce the films and for a Q&A session following the screening.

AC Productions collaborated with the Alexander Turnbull Library, Archives New Zealand and Manatū Taonga - Ministry for Culture and Heritage to make the films.

Each story draws on research into primary texts, such as letters, diaries and newspaper accounts, and is illustrated with images drawn from the collections of the Alexander Turnbull Library and Archives New Zealand. The stories include soldiers, but also people on the home front, family and others affected by the First World War.

Koha appreciated.
