The New Zealand Aids Foundation is an NGO founded in 1985 due to the growth of rapid concerns surrounding HIV/AIDS epidemic in New Zealand during the early 1980s. Their mission is to reduce the spread of HIV and support people living with HIV, the NZAF aims to achieve their mission by promoting biculturalism and diversity through: engaging with communities, remaining well informed, respectful, transparent and strategic with connecting people across New Zealand. Located in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, they connect with thousands of New Zealanders thus supporting the community through prevention programs, HIV testing and counselling.

This event is designed to fundraise for the New Zealand AIDS Foundation campaign – giving people their own voice and helping the community by saying no to HIV stigma. The key issue is that HIV is presented with a lot of stigma and discrimination, an increasingly significant barrier in preventing HIV. In efforts to continually reduce this stigma will be done through fighting this injustice achieved through funds raised and donated to the New Zealand AIDS Foundation.
