Julie’s Jazz influences span decades and continents. She was raised with '80s pop songs and '60s rock and obsessed with old school musicals and vintage jazz. She has been part of cabaret and modern-jazz dance companies in France and has trained in New York at Alvin Ailey studios and with Bob Fosse dancers.

Julie has a passion for choreography and loves experimenting with the different styles she has studied. Her pieces have a technical framework on which she applies carefully chosen styling. Depending on the musical genre, you may end up learning a fun 80s inspired routine, a retro-infused piece, some sharp modern-jazz moves or some lyrical flow.

Julie’s jazz classes start with a Horton influenced warm up which includes strengthening and flexibility exercises. You will then proceed to work on specific technical points like turns, jumps, leg action etc. The remaining time in class is dedicated to choreography.

Her classes are designed to share her passion for anything dance, combining carefully structured technical exercises and original choreographies.
