A new face to New Zealand, Jimmy McGhie debuts his acclaimed storytelling stand-up - warm, angry, absurd and honest. He’s an observant lad, comfortable in the company of his audience as he draws you to him with his seemingly effortless banter.

McGhie is already a big hit at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival where he has appeared over the last couple of years receiving a nomination for ‘Best International Performer’ in 2015.

2016 will be his first time in NZ adding to his global CV which includes Africa, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and all over Europe. He is a regular on the international circuit and has performed at the top UK clubs including The Comedy Store, Glee Clubs, Highlights, Jongleurs and Komedia Theatre and was nominated for ‘Best MC’ in the 2011 Chortle UK Comedy Awards.

He can be seen on BBC3’s Live at the Electric and has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News, as well as co-presenting the Dave Gorman Radio Show on Absolute Radio. He has also supported Chris Addison and Simon Bird on tour.

“Jimmy’s storytelling is funny, candid, confident and involving” -Time Out (UK)
