The Kumeu Arts Centre is looking for a new multi-tasking superstar to join our team in a full-time role.

The Coordinator is the face of the Arts Centre on a day-to-day basis, and as such, our ideal candidate will need to love, and excel at working with diverse groups of people, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The Arts Centre is experiencing strong growth, and we are looking for someone to bring their curatorial flair to our Gallery and Retail area, to maximize the potential of these areas as we continue to develop. You will bring your skills in social media to grow visitor numbers and improve community engagement.

The role is responsible for practical art presentation and handling for exhibitions and retail, so experience in these facets of gallery operations is desired. Coordination of the various workshops and special events that take place at the centre is also a responsibility of this position, so you will need to be comfortable wearing many ‘hats’.

Knowledge of the administration side of running a not-for-profit charity is advantageous, as is knowledge of grant applications and reporting processes, but full training will be given. Familiarity with MYOB is also preferred.

Hours 9am - 5pm weekdays, with occasional weekend and evenings required.

A fantastic Part-Time opportunity exists for a talented and personable administrator with MYOB skills. Monday to Friday 10:30am-1.30pm.

The primary accountabilities for the role are:
- Front of house/reception (welcoming visitors to the gallery, and coverage for Manager’s breaks, leave and time away
- Venue hire invoicing
- Payment of invoices payable
- Payment of wages and PAYE
- Hours worked database tracking
- MYOB tracking
- Banking
- Annual and 3-5 year budgeting in conjunction with the Manager and Committee
- Calculating and paying artist commissions
