Poquito are proud to present two nights with Kara Gordon, the maniac of the guitar this July 15th and 16th!

Kara Gordon plays guitar and sings many different styles of music. But he started with the blues which has been the roots of where he lies as an artist. Whether he's shredding in front of stadiums, playing on street corners or playing intimate bars fueled by smokey surroundings and whiskey, his heart lies in the blues.

Deeply rooted in the music of the blues he was convinced by Barnaby Weir to help do a blues e.p which will be for sale on both nights. His songs like 'Settle the Score' and 'Devils' come from the same historic story of Robert Johnson however instead of signing up to the devil at the crossroads, these songs speak of a man who beats the devil and his demons and keeps his own soul.

There's also Gordons song 'Real Deal' which is coming from a head cutting perspective similar to the likes of muddy waters challenging any man alive to be better. Or 'High on You' is a filthy blues tune telling of getting high on a beautiful woman with sleazy undertones yet showing the sensitivity of a man in love with his woman.

Coming from the same tradition Of Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Blind Wille Mctell , Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn, Kara plays from a traditional respect for the great blues musicians of the past whilst adding his personal flair and modifying the blues with tradition and evolution.
