The Local Wild Food Challenge is a culinary adventure competition.
As a competitor... create a dish with at least one wild ingredient.
Open to everyone!
Home Cooks, Fishermen, Hunter-Gatherers, Chefs, Caterers & Kids (Adult & Junior Challenges)
Prize categories include Grand Prize, Runners up, Best from the Ocean, Best Dessert, Best Use of Use Local Ingredient, Best from the Land, Wildest Ingredient, Best Effort, Hemingway Award (Best Story).
Hot, cold, frozen, raw, marinated, smoked, seared, preserved…anything!
As a spectator…. experience competitors preparing & cooking their creations, then taste the dishes in a casual, fun environment.
Amazing prize packages up for grabs donated by generous community focused businesses & individuals.
Come and enjoy food demonstrations, live music, performance art installment, entertainment for the kids, food trucks, bush bar & local guest beers, artisan stalls …... a celebration of our natural resources & community.

Competitors and kids 12yrs & under free entry.
