The London Conchord Ensemble is one of Europe’s leading chamber ensembles. Known for their imaginative programming, which has won them many accolades in their 12-year history, this is their debut New Zealand tour.

This superb UK collective of musicians is dividing in half for part of the tour and the Invercargill concert features violin, clarinet, horn and piano. The musicians include 2015 audience favourite, Brodsky Quartet violinist Daniel Rowland.

This instrumental combination features famous works by composers including Debussy, Poulenc, and Schumann, as well as Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale and Brahms’ Trio for Violin, Horn and Piano in Eb Op 40.

Audiences will be treated to the myriad of colours that are created when strings, wind and piano combine.

Programme:
- Debussy - Sonata for violin and piano
- Poulenc - Elegie for horn and piano
- Stravinsky - The Soldier’s Tale
- Schumann - Fantasiestücke Op. 73
- Brahms - Trio for Violin, Horn and Piano in E flat Op. 40
