The London Conchord Ensemble is one of Europe’s leading chamber ensembles. Known for their imaginative programming, which has won them many accolades in their 12-year history, the ensemble makes its debut New Zealand tour.

This superb UK collective of musicians includes 2015 audience favourite, Brodsky Quartet violinist Daniel Rowland.

Audiences will be treated to the myriad of colours that are created when strings, wind and piano combine.

The London Conchord Ensemble performs Poulenc’s energetic Sextet for Piano and Wind Quintet, and British composer Sally Beamish’s arrangement of Debussy’s orchestral masterwork La Mer for Piano Trio. The concert also features Schoenberg’s Chamber Symphony No. 1 (arranged by Webern), and Mozart’s much-loved Quintet in Eb K452 for four winds and piano.

- Mozart - Quintet in E flat K452
- Schoenberg (arr. Webern) - Chamber Symphony No. 1 in E
- Poulenc - Sextet for Piano & Wind Quintet
- Debussy (arr. Beamish) - La Mer

A pre-concert talk takes place one hour prior to the concert – it is free to attend and will be at the concert venue.
