You and Storytelling - what’s your story, why and how do you want to tell it?

Join Wellington storyteller Moira Wairama for a tale or two from Te Whanganui - a - Tara and a general korero about the universal art of storytelling.

Moira Wairama is a Wellington storyteller, writer, poet, and teacher who specialises in bilingual tellings of Maori legends and in creating stories with a distinctively New Zealand flavour. Together with her partner Tony Hopkins, she is a co-founder of the Baggage Co-op, which has produced a number of award-winning theatre shows and storytelling events. Moira writes for the stage and radio and is a performance poet with work in several anthologies. She also writes for children in both English and Maori and has won several awards for her children’s books.
