This event is a weekly drop in class.

Each class consists of a guided meditation and a talk based on Buddhist wisdom. Classes are suitable for everyone. Join in any week, booking is not required.

Classes are held Thursday evening 7:15 - 8:30pm.

Everyone is welcome with buddhist nun Kelsang Luma.

Class Topics - Overcoming Anger – week of 23 May to week of 27 June.
Anger takes many forms from mild irritation or annoyance to lingering resentment, bad temper and even rage, but it is always painful and destructive. Learn simple techniques to deal with our own and others’ anger. Through meditation and other practices it is possible to gradually reduce the frequency and intensity of our anger, and eventually eradicate it altogether.

Inspiring Solutions for Difficult Times - Week of 4 July to week of 11 July.
The heart of Buddha’s teachings is unconditional love and compassion. Learn ancient meditation techniques that have been tried and tested for centuries to develop these altruistic minds. This course also reveals how we can transform our day to day living, including even the most difficult conditions, into opportunities for personal and spiritual development.

What to expect at a class:
These classes are based on Buddha’s teachings on the mind, but you do not need to be a Buddhist to attend, or to benefit from them. Each class consists of two guided meditations and an explanatory talk. The classes run for 90 minutes. Anyone can practise meditation and everyone is welcome to attend. There is no physical exercise involved and you can choose to sit either in a chair or on a cushion.

These classes are suitable for all levels of experience.
