What does sustainable dairying look like and how is it be achieved? In this highly interactive, educational exhibition created for children and families, we explore issues and highlight advancements in agricultural science that are paving the way for a safer, more efficient and environmentally conscious industry.

The fascinating science and technology surrounding the dairy industry are explained. From the underground (soil science) to the atmosphere (climate change) visitors are taken on a journey where modern dairying in the Waikato is explored from the farm to the table and beyond.

Milk Matters celebrates success, telling the stories of our local farmers whose care is showing in the environments they manage. Ultimately, Milk Matters invites young visitors to experience a future achieved through sustainable dairying and shows the journey taking place.

With thanks to our sponsors, Dairy NZ and Fonterra.

Concession applies to students, Friends of Waikato Museum, senior citizens and Community Services Card holders – ID is required.
