The National Writers’ Forum is a conference for people who write books: fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, poetry, plays and digital media.

It is a two day intensive where writers will talk, learn and share information about the craft of writing and the business of getting published – traditional and indie, print and digital.

The forum will report on the current New Zealand writing and publishing environment and explore the prospects for writers in the new democracy of the digital world.

International and local writers taking masterclasses, workshops and speaking on panels include: Chris Cleave, Stephen Daisley, Patricia Grace, Elizabeth Heritage, Sarah Laing, Helen Lowe, Anna Mackenzie, Greg McGee, Kyle Mewburn, Paula Morris, Toby Morris, Kate Pullinger, Catherine Robertson, Ben Sanders and Nalini Singh.
